I bought this book due to its high ratings, and very good comments. Please do not get me wrong, in my belief, any book can be a vehicle for someone's enlightenment, therefore, I do believe the sincerity of the comments of all and the necessity of this book. However, as someone who is professionally involved in spiritual arts and healing, who likes to finish 2 books a week, I was really disappointed. Unfortunately, I felt like the author, having the best of intentions, does not really grasp the vibe of "money" nor the universal mechanism- not entirely-at least. But it does give you a big compassionate hug and rest of mind- and if that's what you are looking for this is the right book. If you are looking for the blunt truth...no..The book suggests that there is a higher mechanism and that we should let IT handle everything, live simple, stop being hungry, stop manifesting like crazy (once the humankind stops going after their desires, once they stop deliberate manifesting, there will be no evolution- being obsessive about an outcome or a desire is of course something else )..Yes, while I agree with the philosophy, there is a reason why you are here with a brain, even ego, with lots of feelings and desires, you have the necessary spiritual, mental, physical tools to create from your heart chakra, from your center, there is a reason why you have those chakras- to emit, receive and create energy, you ARE the generator and the creator, you are the gods in training!...This is the very reason why you are here on Earth in 3d dimension...If we are talking about the Source, let's talk about what the Source is, what the Source wants for you, for itself, why you have been created the way you are..why you have an ego- which you are trying to get rid of- and which you never will unless you decide to become something else other than a homo sapien, let's talk about whether there is any pre-written fate for us-or if we are making our destinies .. If we are to surrender ourselves to Source, we should first understand this "Source" to the best of our capacity- which the book does not deliver. Because the answers to the above questions will ultimately show you that you ARE the creator of your own life, and you should -at most times- take that wheel...to define the destination- the route however will show up- through surrender.And when you tell people that they are crazy manifesting- you are in fact judging, disrespecting and devaluing them that they are going after false and even "cheap" things..no- there is an entire history and practice, current and long forgotten about wizards, master manifestors, shamans, creators, ascended masters and their teachings, you cannot and you should not underestimate nor discourage people from their inner power to create- I understand- some people use LOA until they are exhausted- yes that is again something else- entirely- that is the false belief that- LOA will not work unless they exhaust themselves with the visualization and other techniques- it is mostly used for spiritual bypassing as well- to get away from the inner demons- that is another BIG issue- but you cannot simply undervalue or even mock LOA just because most people get it wrong- for it is everything- and in my belief the Author does not really know how the LOA works and she feels as if the LOA is something which pulls you in the direction of "fighting" so she suggests we stop "fighting" and let it go- she has the bestest intentions in saying that- and most people are in need of resting!!! She serves them very well!!However lack of knowledge/misunderstanding hinders her to explain or see the other side of the coin as well- which is co-creation and which is taking responsibility of our vibes which create the very events we are instructed (in the book) to let go to begin with!!. I mean there is an entire league of channelers (me as one of them) and ascended masters and teachers who are telling the same, telling us that we are of the essence of God and are here to create and bamm! someone comes up and implicitly mocks the practitioners of LOA - the user-friendly version of which is taught by Thoth (Creator God of Wisdom, Scripture, Magic) in Atlantean times (please go read the Emerald Tablets- have wonderful versions in Amazon including wonderful interpretations)..and gives the impression that she knows better..As a writer and channeler myself, almost always, to the best of my ability resist the need to tell or imply people that what they are doing is crazy , stupid, non-sense, or wrong-they are here to experience their own thing afterall...I do not know any better, all I know is, there were beings who knew or remember better.. Thoth, ascended masters- all of them... But implicitly suggesting the teaching of these beings are nonsense and the people who are trying to understand and practice these teachings are wasting time is non-sense and a waste of time in and on itself.. The wise teachers keep telling us that we are the Gods in training who are here to "create" and "experience" through knowing, feeling and BEING this God essence is US- and THEN surrender to the ways of the energy- for its destiny was already set by your "intention". LOA has nothing to do with fighting and everything to do with "knowing/being".. if you "know", if you "are" there is no need to fight..if you "know" that you are the Creator, what are you fighting against, yourself? LOA only works if you know, when to deliberately create and when to surrender to Source to let it work with and for you!Surrendering is only the end- part of co-creation, it does not stand alone. The author is a master about surrendering, so this book is surely a very valuable tool, but if you take it as an entire system, it can go very very wrong.This universe was created on a single "intention". We are creating our reality in each millisecond and we are not here to live like a plant and let it all go to IT...we are here to be a vehicle of the Source and be the Source itself at the same time, and create whatever we like..why is this so hard to accept for some- and everyone meets the consequences of their choices. point. you are free to do whatever you want, you are free to create whatever you want, and all will be reflected back to you. fair enough. point.How do you plan to define what you like, what you do not like, what you want to experience, what you do not want to experience if you remove yourself from co-creation? But most importantly, how will you know that you are in fact the God in Training in 3d if you stop co-creating? If you decide to take the path, the only thing you will ever experience is that you are a vehicle...being a vehicle is only one single aspect of the soul, in fact you are both the vehicle, and the creator, and the creator of that vehicle...!!!!!If you "Let HIM create on behalf of you"...very well...that is an option...but a very dull one, I promise, and you will strip yourself from experiencing your own God essence- what you will experience is that you are a pure conduit of the Source, a servant, a vehicle, which is only 50% of the truth- in fact the very Source that the book wants us to surrender is actually ourselves- so let's not confuse people that the higher mechanism is something apart from us- like a daddy- the book speaks about this higher mechanism just like that-let your daddy handle the issues and it's your daddy's money anyway... Why not tell people that, the "daddy" and/or the "mommy" is in fact nothing but a grander version of everything contained in singularity? And why not tell people that money is in fact an energy currency and the labels and limitations we put on it- makes it really hard for us to create that vibe? No, it is your money, because the lack of it, or the abundance of it IS created by YOU in alignment with the vibe you emit. You create your money not through your work but your vibes..it is not your daddy's money UNLESS you understand that the daddy we are talking about is in fact YOU. The entire book unfortunately - not expressly- but implicitly strips people from their inner power to create and manifest.. There is a balance to everything- you cannot (of course you can but not advisable) spend your years manifesting and while not enjoying a single moment in your life, or bypass your shadows through LOA, these do not work anyway, and these are NOT the teachings of the ascended/enlightened...on the other hand, you cannot (of course you can, but not advisable) let everything be handled by someone "other" than you..whether it be the Source or your husband or your friend or something else- that is apathy- and rejection of your part in the events that are happening- LOA can go pretty wrong- that's right- and the teaching of this book also can go VERY VERY wrong..You can however, dance with both techniques, do the manifestation properly and then let it be handled by the Source... this book- alone- will not work- unless you plan to be a Monk who practices total surrender. It will only buy you some resting time before you are burning with another the desire to "create". Because no matter how much you try- you cannot NOT desire- the desires and the urge to create are your fuel for your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual evolution. And no matter how much you try- you cannot remove yourself from the responsibility of your own creations..I am sorry but you DO NEED TO do some inner work and monitor your vibes, do "the" soul digging and only THEN you can let it go...and IF you know the fundamentals of the quantum physics, the universal laws, only then, this book can help you learn the surrendering part as well. Otherwise, this book can go very wrong. I am truly sorry for this review..However I think, this one was needed because it certainly lacks and rejects the fundamental aspects of the human spirit and its evolution arc and its purpose.. Nevertheless, it is my ultimate wish that whoever needs to learn about surrendering, finds her/his way to this book as it DOES contain a part of the truth. All new age books can be thrown in the trash. Not one of the new age books has ever made me feel complete. When I finished the book I still felt empty and lost for what I was seeking. I didn't know what I was seeking but I knew that that book didn't help. I stopped reading self-help books because "what was the use".I follow Tosha on FB and read Outrageous Openness so I knew I liked her work. I was still wanting more after reading OO but still decided to buy It's Not Your Money. I felt if Tosha was writing a book about money I needed to read it.I read through the book in 2 days just so I could glean on the information and then have started working the book week by week. I'm not religious as that actually left me the most empty 20 years ago. But I knew I wanted God in my life and to really know God on a personal level. I've been frustrated with money all my life, highs and lows constantly. But I always felt as if I was grabbing and clutching.I've done just as the book says, clean -purge - clean -purge -clean - purge and clean clutter some more. Gave away as much as I felt called to do. The more I read each day, the more I felt I had a road map in the book. I knew even when I felt hopeless I had the road map to get out of the slump. But when I read, old soul abundance I jumped up and down. I finally felt heard. Someone else knew exactly what I have been going through. My ego may even be prevented by the Divine from manifesting anything! I hate manifesting, it left me feeling frustrated and resentful. That sentence made me realize I'm not crazy. God has been waiting for me all this time. Everything that has happened has been for my best interest to open and stop blocking the flow. I FINALLY GET IT. This book is my road map.
